Review on the arts desk  website:

"Couples Vs Jobless Mid 30s showcases The Fall at their eeriest, with Smith apparently giving his best Great and Powerful Oz-behind-the-curtain impression, before the sparse and unnerving music jerks to upbeat and bouncy some six and half minutes in."

Louder at War:

"... the unsettling Couples Vs Jobless Mid 30s – a sparse and dislocating piece with taped laughter, off kilter rhythms and bass gronk in a genuinely scary piece of music."

This track has never been played live.
