The history checklist for the re-entry examination includes all of the categories of information that would be obtained in a comprehensive health assessment, such as a preventive examination or hospital admission. In practice, it would be rare for a physician in a single interview to ask every single one of the questions implied by the checklist. The purpose of the checklist is to assesss the student's ability to memorize all of the questions and ask them in an organized, coherent way.

See the Yale Medical Student Guide to the Medical Interview for a detailed explanation.
