$13.00

Tigripus Californicus copepods are great for stocking refugiums, where they can reproduce and feed into your aquarium. This species of copepod does better in refugiums than other species of copepods. Copepods serve to feed and benefit all parts of your aquarium fish, coral, and diversity. We strive to provide you with as many copepods that we can fit into our containers without compromising the health of the copepods. Copepods reproduce rapidly when conditions are right and can produce hundreds of eggs at a time. These can also be used to start your own copepod culture.

Reef Copepods

Reef Copepods (Tigripus Californicus) are raised on live Nannochloropsis(green water) to provide your reef with healthy live copepods. Each bottle has this algae added to keep your copepods healthy until added to your reef. Copepods are a great way to add to the biodiversity of your tank and help your reef to thrive. They make great food for timid fish such as Mandarins, gobies, sea horses, and other fish.

Directions

Copepods should be added to refugium with pumps off for about 15 minutes. If no refugium is available, add copepods at night with lights off so they are not eaten by fish and have the chance to populate the aquarium. If some copepods are left in bottle, use tank water to wash them out. If being used for feeding purposes only, add the desired amount of copepods for feeding and store remainder in a fridge. Copepods can be stored in a refrigerator for up to three weeks.
