Snakeshead Fritillaries are up! April 2013.
Once again, the beautiful Fritillaria meleagris in the Green are blooming - a bit later this year than last. You can see them alongside the ditch by the tennis courts, and alongside the right of the path running up to Redland Road.
For a really beautiful display of these now rare native wild flowers, there is a field full of Fritillaries and Cowslips at Lower Moor Farm, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust. They are now at their peak, and it makes a beautiful day out.
