Redland Green Community Fete

Save the date! 27th April 2019 2pm - 4.30pm

Redland Green Community Group have teamed up with the Tennis Club, Bowling Club, the Church, the allotments and parents from local schools and preschools to bring you the Redland Green Fete.

Our aim is to bring the community together in a more simple and easily repeatable event. It won’t be on the same scale as the wonderful Redland May Fair but it should be a lovely community event.

The day will have more of a village fete feel to it with Splat The Rat, a coconut shy, face painting and plenty more silly games. There will also be games at the tennis courts, taster sessions at the Bowling Green, rhubarb for sale fresh from the allotments and plenty of lovely refreshments. We are hoping to have some choirs singing and perhaps some kids' entertainment.

For the children (or young at heart) there will be a “Vegimal Competition” where children will be asked to create an animal out of fruit or vegetables and bring it along before the fete to be judged. Prizes for the best ones in each category.

We are looking for volunteers - even if you can just lend a hand for half an hour on the day that would be great. We are also looking for sponsors for our programme. If you would like to get involved please e-mail chair@rgcg.org.uk
