Neighbourhood Partnership - Advocate member sought

Dear Resident

As you may know, the BCR NP is run by residents, Councillors and reps from local community organisations.

As part of its recently adopted constitution, the NP is seeking residents who may be interested in sitting on the NP as an Advocate or as an individual member. I attach a copy of the constitution (please see section 2.1.3 and 2.1.4).

If you are interested in becoming an Advocate member, please see section 2.2 of the constitution. You are asked to provide a short statement explaining what you will bring to the role of one of the advocate places. Please send me your statement by Friday 5th June 2015.

You may also be aware from the recent forums that the NP is looking to start a number of working groups. These are as follows:

- Street Scene (litter, graffiti, pavement obstructions etc)

- Parks

- Sustainable Travel (transport)

- Biodiversity

- Trees

- Young People

- Communications and Engagement

- Place (Housing, urban design, community provision)

It is intended that these working groups will provide the main thrust of the work of the NP, providing the ideas, strategic detail and delivery of projects of value to our community. If you have an interest in any of these subjects and would like to make a real difference to your neighbourhood, please contact me and I will provide you with more information.

Please contact me if you have any queries.

Regards

Andrew
