Calling All Music Makers...
...you are invited to be a part of Redeemer's music ministry. It's a team effort with lots of input from the members to most effectively use our time and talents. Contact the church office for more information.
Jubilate Choir Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8 PM. We sing most Sundays at the 8:30 AM service and occasionally at 10:15 AM, and for most festivals. This group is for students in high school through seasoned singers. Anthem selections vary from the classics to contemporary music with solo opportunities. In addition to singing for worship on a regular basis, practicing new hymns, liturgical cantoring and psalm responses, a yearly highlight for this choir is the Tenebrae Service on Good Friday. Come and sing to the Lord a new song!
Redeemer Ringers (Handbells) - Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 7 to 8 PM. This group is for students in high school on up. Some music knowledge and counting skills are beneficial.
River's End - River’s End provides music and leads the singing for the 10:15 contemporary worship service. The band includes guitars, piano, drums/percussion and vocalists.
River's Beginning - is a youth choir for those in grades 4 through 8. Rehearsals are Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM. The group sings with River's End on Family Worship Days.
Joy Explosion (Children's Choir) - Rehearsals are held on Sunday mornings from 11:30 to 12 noon from mid-September to mid-May. This group is for children in Grades 1 to 3. Anthems correlate to the church year and are chosen for age appropriateness. Many anthems are upbeat with the use of rhythm instruments.
Instrumentalists/Soloists You say your time is limited for choir practices but you would like to sing? There are other opportunities throughout the year, especially during the summer months, for vocalists and instrumentalists to provide solo and/or ensemble music for worship.
God has given us all wonderful gifts. Won't you come out and share yours with us?! To God Be the Glory!
