Redeemer Lutheran Church offers a wide-ranging Youth and Family ministry program designed to engage children and their families in the life of the church and support them in a life of faith at home.

**Currently, ALL Youth Groups are meeting virtually unless weather permitted so they can meet outside on the church front lawn, socially distanced with masks.**

Fellowship Groups
There are currently four youth groups in the church:

JAMs (Jesus and Me) is the youth group for the 3rd and 4th graders and their families. This group meets socially three times a year to get to know each other more outside of Sunday School. All families and friends of the 3rd and 4th graders are invited to these events.

POPs (People of Promise!!)
is the youth group for the 5th and 6th grades and their friends!
This group meets for social and community service events almost every month during the school year.

Alpha League is the fellowship group for 7th and 8th graders of Redeemer and their friends.  While there are monthly activities for the group, there are 4 main events: a lock-in, NJ Synod Youth Gathering, Ski Retreat, and Confirmation Camp.

Luther League is the fellowship and service group for the high school students of Redeemer
and their friends. Our unofficial motto is "community and congregational service as an extension of faith."  The group meets twice a month for fellowship.
There is also a high school Sunday School class that meets 3 Sundays a month.
The youth in the Luther League are involved in many events during the year including trips to NYC, the Souper Bowl of Caring, church services, and much more.  The group participates in an annual mission trip and sends a group to the ELCA Youth Gathering every three years.  We are actively seeking ways to develop leadership in our youth and further them on their faith journey.

We are actively seeking adult volunteers to help with all of our youth groups.
These adult volunteers will work closely with the Youth and Family Coordinators in planning youth group events and activities. Please email tammysnokerlcyaf@gmail.com or brittneypigeonrlcyaf@gmail.com if you are interested in learning more or are looking to help out with any of our wonderful youth groups!
Many hands make light work!

Redeemer offers Sunday School for Kindergarten through high school. This year, we will be having a Rotational Schedule for Sunday School. Please Visit the Sunday School page for more information.

Service
Youth are encouraged to serve both the congregation and the community.  Within the congregation the youth participate in spring and fall workdays and serve as worship assistants. In the community, opportunities include working with Family Promise, Faith Kitchen, Lutheran World Relief, Roxbury Social Services, Souper Bowl of Caring and Your Grandmother's Cupboard.

Parents are the best role models for their children.  Living a life of faith and raising young people of faith can be a daunting task.  Click here for links to several free resources recommended to make this easier.

Support
There are many opportunities to support Redeemer's Youth Program.  The youth sell ShopRite gift cards the 1st Sunday of every month. Five percent of the face value of each card supports the youth program.   There is also a very lively silent/live auction and dinner in May. For other fund raising activities please see the Fund Raising Page.
