Virginia Bartholomew

Virginia "Ginny" Bartholomew left New York twelve years ago to play Fanny Brice in The Roaring Twenties and has since made her full-time living on the classical stage. As a founding cast member of The Powel Crosley Theatre's Shakespeare on the Bay Festival in Sarasota, FL, Virginia played Titania/Midsummer, Beatrice/Much Ado, Adriana/Comedy of Errors, Maria/Twelfth Night and Lady Bracknell/Earnest. Other favorite roles include Beth/Dinner with Friends and Carol Burnett/This Time Together. She currently teaches public speaking for Kinship Conservation Fellows and is developing a Shakespeare program for persons with early Alzheimer's.  She was nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Lead Role at the 2011 NYIT Awards for her portrayal of Lady Macbeth in Redd Tale's Macbeth. Her one-woman show Modern: Prometheus: Frankenstein with Mary Shelley won Best Adaptation at the 2012 United Solo Awards!
