Starting in 2009, the Prescott National Forest, with diverse agency and community partners, engaged the public and worked together to assess and collaboratively develop a set of broadly supported sustainable recreation strategies for the region. Strategy Teams, convened by partners, were then formed to develop and begin implementing action plans.  These teams are now working on planning and implementation of priority strategies.

Using an "all hands, all lands" approach to work at a landscape scale, agencies, local government and community organizations each have a role in sharing the leadership and responsibility of moving the region towards a more sustainable recreation future.
