Thanks in advance!!!

I recently moved to Atlanta from Chicago and have found my new gym at the 5th St. LA Fitness. I'm an avid class-goer and was worried that I wouldn't be able to find a gym to measure up to what I was used to in Chicago. I had a KILLER Zumba instructor there who I miss dearly! A couple of weeks ago, a friend invited me to LA Fitness to take Reginald's Zumba class. Wow, is all I can say. If you want your hour of exercise to fly by, and want to have fun dancing despite the fact that you have no rhythm (like me), you will love this class. If you CAN dance, you will love this class. Everyone feels immediately comfortable and it's one of the least judgmental environments one can ask for. The hour flies by, and it's due in no small part to Reginald's positive energy. For those who are wondering whether dancing in a room for an hour burns a lot of calories, I can tell you that I burn over 700 calories in Reginald's class (I wear a Bodybugg, so I can prove it I tell you!). One star deducted for a couple of reasons: 1) no dumbbell area with lighter weights (I'm talking 5-15lbs). All I saw was the "husky gruntyman" dumbbell area. Would be nice if there was something for the ladies... 2) When I signed up, I was told that my $10 monthly towel-service fee would be waived. I sincerely hope this was a joke, as only a total idiot would pay money for that in the first place. 3) Keeping Up with the Kardashians is ALWAYS on in the locker room, no matter when I go. I suppose I can't fault LA Fitness for that one, though

"I used to make excuses not to go to the gym: I didn't get enough sleep last night. I'm sore from yesterday's workout. I just don't want to. I tripped and fell yesterday and my knee hurts (a formerly frequent occurrence). Reggie's class changed all that for me. I've finally found a class I'm willing to go to in spite of all of those excuses. I look forward to exercising with him several times a week. Why wouldn't you want to go to a class that feels like a party? The camaraderie he creates among the class-goers has made me feel welcome in my new city. And as an added bonus, I feel just a little more coordinated each day, and even a little happier." JA.
