Prof. Mukesh K. Gupta is Professor and Team Leader of the Gene Manipulation Laboratory at the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India. His area of research interests are Animal Biotechnology; Animal Transgenesis; Assisted Reproductive Technologies, Male Germ-line Stem Cells; Cryopreservation of Gamete and Embryos and Tissue Engineering.

Along with research, in the capacity of Associate Professor of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering, Prof. Gupta also teaches Animal Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering, Bioinformatics, Stem Cell Engineering, Cryo-Tissue Engineering, Biostatistics, Research Methodology, Anatomy and Physiology etc. to undergraduate as well as post-graduate students.
