Member Registration

· RCET Full member and Associate member districts attend at no charge: Full members have unlimited attendance; Associate members may send up to six people. 

Non-member Registration Fees 

· Tuesday, March 5, 2019, Preconference Sessions:  Early bird registration fee for preconference sessions on Tuesday, March 5, is $160 per person. After January 31, 2019, preconference session fee increases to $210 per person. Refunds given only if cancellation is received by 02/05/2019. Lunch is on your own.

· Wednesday, March 6, 2019, General Conference Day: Early bird registration fee for Wednesday, March 6, General Conference Day, is $130 per person. After January 31, 2019, General Conference Day registration fee increases to $165 per person. Refunds given only if cancellation is received by 02/05/2019.  Lunch is on your own.

· Associate member discounted registration fee: Join RCET as an associate member and send up to six people to both days of the conference for just $500, a savings of over $1,200. To request a membership application, contact Debbie Nelson at  rcet@mindspring.com  or call 417.523.5560.

· Group registration fee: A group registration fee for non-member districts allows a minimum of 10 or more people to attend the General Conference Day, March 6, at the early bird registration fee of $100 per person. After January 31, 2019, group registration fee increases to $125 per person. Refunds given only if cancellation is received by 02/05/2019.

Preconference - Tuesday, March 5 (Schedule available January 2019)

Bring your own device (BYOD) on Tuesday, March 5, to get the most out of preconference sessions. 

  • No need to choose your sessions in advance when you register. Check the website for the schedule in mid-January to help you plan your day in advance.
  • Bring your own device to get the most out of these sessions.
  • All preconference sessions will be held in the Plaster Student Union.
  • Morning time slots are 9:00-10:15 and 10:30-11:45 a.m.; afternoon time slots are 1:00-2:15 and 2:30-3:45 p.m.
  • Check-in opens at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Stop by the registration desk to pick up your name badge and a schedule of sessions. 

General Conference - Wednesday, March 6 (Schedule available January 2019)

Conference highlight events include keynote address, state-of-the-art technology exhibitions, exhibitor door prize drawings, student technology exhibits, breakout sessions on a wide variety of educational technology topics. Lunch is on your own. Additional information as well as breakout session summaries will be posted on the RCET website at (http://www.rcet.net) in January, 2019. 

Sessions during lunch on Wednesday 

Lunchtime sessions on Wednesday: For a fee of $8 for the boxed lunch (billed separately to your district), you have the option to attend one of the sessions being offered on Wednesday during the lunch break. Enrollment is limited to 3 persons per district and a maximum of 60 people per session.

     What the Tech is That?  This session will take a fun and light-hearted look back at 30 years of technology and RCET history. Join us for this trip down memory lane and try your hand at the trivia game where you might even win a prize!

     Cooperative Learning with Robotics   Robotics and coding fun? You bet!! Join us for this session where you’ll receive hands-on lessons and get to test your ability to program a robot. We will have a robot race (or two if time allows) with a small prize for winners.


All confirmations will be emailed to registrants within 10 business days of online registration. 

Conference location - Missouri State University, 901 S. National, is the host facility. All conference activities will be held in the Plaster Student Union.

Parking - Missouri State University requires all vehicles to have a parking permit. You will receive information before the conference on how to print your parking permit from this page.

Hotel information - A block of rooms is available at the Holiday Inn University Plaza Hotel, 333 John Q. Hammons Parkway, (417.864.7333) just a few blocks from the conference location. Be sure to mention you are with the RCET Conference to receive the special room rate of $99/night which includes breakfast. Reservations must be made no later than February 1, 2019, in order to take advantage of this special rate. (Note: John Q. Hammons Parkway runs through the middle of the MSU campus. Take JQH Parkway south to Cherry street, turn right/west and proceed to the parking garage. After parking, catch the shuttle to the Plaster Student Union.
