Maja Solveig Kjelstrup Ratkje
composer and performer (1973), finished composition studies at the Norwegian State Academy of Music in Oslo in 2000. Her music has been heard all over Europe as well as in Japan, China, Canada, USA and eastern Russia. Her composed works have been performed by Klangforum Wien, Oslo and Bodø Sinfonietta, The Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Fretwork, TM+, SPUNK and POING among others. Portrait concerts with her music has been heard in Toronto and Vienna, and she has received many awards and commissions from throughout the world such as the International Rostrum of Composers in Paris for composers below 30 years of age, she has received the Norwegian Edvard prize (work of the year) twice, second prize at the Russolo Foundation, and in 2001 she was the first composer ever to receive the Arne Nordheim prize. Her solo album «Voice», made in collaboration with Jazzkammer, got a Distinction Award at Prix Ars Electronica. In 2010 her work Crepuscular Hour was premiered at the Ultima festival in Oslo, featuring three choirs and 6 noise musicians.

Hild Sofie Tafjord,
performer and composer(1974) plays french horn and electronics. She studied jazz and improvised music at the Norwegian Academy of Music. Tafjord has made music for dance, film, theater, installations/ sculptures, done performances, workshops and site specific concerts. She has played concerts, toured and worked with musicians and artists in Europe, USA, Canada and Asia. Tafjord has a solo project and plays in bands like Lemur, SPUNK, Agrare, Trinacria, Phantom Orchard Orchestra, and she has collaborated with numerous artists like Wolf Eyes, Campbell Kneale, Matmos, Ikue Mori, Zeena Parkins,Otomo Yoshihide, Fred Frith, Zu, Evan Parker etc. She participates on more than 30 releases at a.o. Rune Grammofon, Asphodel, picadisk, ECM, Universal, Moserobie, Jazzland, Important Records, Psychform Records, Gameboy Records, OHM records, and in 2007 she released her first solo album KAMA at Picadisc. A new solo album is under way in 2011.

Kristin Andersen (1973), trumpet and flutes. Kristin is a composer educated at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. Her music has been performed all over Scandinavia. In addition to SPUNK Kristin can often be heard in various free improvised constellations. Kristin also works as a studio technician and producer, as well as with writing and web design.

Lene Grenager (1969) cellist, composer and conductor educated at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. She tours regularly with her main ensembles SPUNK (rune grammophon), Lemur (+3db) and a duo with Sofia Jernberg (olofbright) in Europe, Asia and Canada. Grenager also performes solo and in various ad hoc constellations. She has collaborated with artists such as Mattin, Lucio Capece, Ellen Fullman, Mats Gustafsson, Harald Fetveit and Unni Løvlid and has performed at festivals like FIMAV Victoriaville, Ultima, Borealis, Banlieues Bleues, Stockholm New Music og Nordic Music Days. In 2006 she released her first soloalbum “Slåtter, slag og slark” (Euridice). In 2009 she released the album "Affinis suite" (+3dB Records) and in 2010 Trio Alpaca presented a portrait CD called "Systema Naturae" .
