Welcome to Renfrew Collingwood Community Walks

Welcome

It doesn’t matter whether you’ve been living in this neighbourhood for years or you are just a visitor from miles away. Take a walk with us in this beautiful and vibrant community. Get to know its historical and natural beauty.

The walks provided on this webpage are created by the literacy project funded by 2010 Legacies Now and supported by Collingwood Neighbourhood House. We view literacy as the bond between people and the tool to build our community a better place.

Ask several friends and start the walk on a beautiful day in the neighbourhood. Don't forget to give us some feedback.

Tips for Wise Walkers

1. Wear sensible shoes. You may need around 1 hour to finish each walk. Please wear cushy and supportive shoes.

2. Dress for the weather. The weather may bring different beauties to the environment. No matter rain or shine, make sure to stay warm and dry.

3. Print out the map with you. You can find printable map and instructions on our website. Follow the map and enjoy the best of the walk.

4. Walk with company. It's always nice to walk with some friends. They will have ways to make the walk fun and memorable.

5. Cultivate your curiosity. Be adventurous. There are definitely more things to experience and find out beyond the ones we introduced in the walk. Go for whatever you find interesting.
