City Lights Show Choir

City Lights is RBHS's mixed, competitive show choir.  This 36-member choir made up of students in grades 9-12 prepares and performs a 20-minute competition show each year that includes choreography, costuming, sets, props, a live instrumental combo and tech crew.  The choir performs locally at 4 times throughout the year from December-April and competes throughout the state and region 3-4 times each year.

In 2011, City Lights placed 11th at the FAME Show Choir National Championships and in 2013 they placed 9th at Show Choir Nationals in Nashville, TN.  In 2015, City Lights placed 3rd at the FAME Branson Competition, qualifying them for the FAME Show Choir National Championships. In 2016, City Lights were awarded Grand Champion at the Pleasant High School "Battle of the Best" Festival and the Troy Show Choir Invitational.  They also placed 1st Runner-Up at the Smith-Cotton "Show-Me Classic". Over the past 10 years, City Lights has received many accolades and trophies at state, regional and national festivals.

One of the highlights of the year for the show choirs is the Charity Benefit Concert.  Over the last 11 years, the show choirs have performed for audiences and raised over $40,000 for local charities.
