Welcome to the official Rock Bridge Orchestra website and the home of our new booster club, Friends of the RBO.  We have an exciting year ahead in 2015 filled with a wide ranging repertoire, spectacular musical performances and fun events for students, families and supporters.  We hope you will visit our website regularly to stay in touch with the RBO and keep up to date with the latest information about performances, competitions, fundraisers and other developments.

We also hope you will join Friends of the RBO to show your support for our gifted string players in our Chamber, Concert and Combined Orchestras. Your contribution will help our orchestra fund participation in festivals and competitions, field trips to attend special performances, scholarships, recognition for our graduating seniors, and other special events.

Congratulations to Our 

Missouri All- State Orchestra Students!



The Rock Bridge Chamber Orchestra will send three students to the Missouri All-State Orchestra this year.  Alice Yu on first violin; Joanna Yu on viola; and Arnold Chen (his second year) on second violin.
 
The Missouri Chapter of ASTA sponsors the Missouri All-State Orchestra.  This ensemble will perform at the annual Missouri Music Educators Association Conference, January 28-31, 2015 at Tan-Tar-A Resort, Osage Beach. The conductor of the 2015 All-State Orchestra will be Ryan McAdams.   The program for the ASO will be the Ravel “Rapsodie Espagnole” and Tchaikovsky’s “Romeo & Juliet-Fantasy Overture”.

CLASSICAL MUSIC CONCERT OPPORTUNITIES

 One of the requirements of being a member of the Rock Bridge Orchestra is to attend one classical music concert each semester.  To receive credit, students must turn in the performance program or ticket stub and a short reflection (one paragraph) about the experience within two weeks of the performance.
