Saikat Ray received his B.Tech. degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, India in Electronics and Communications Engineering in 2000, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Boston University in Electrical Engineering in 2002 and 2005, respectively. He spent the summers of 2001 and 2003 as interns in Fujitsu Network Communications (Acton, MA, USA) and Microsoft Research (Cambridge, UK), respectively. He was a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering, University of Pennsylvania from September 2005 to December 2006. From January 2007 to December 2008 he worked as an Assistant Professor at University of Bridgeport. Currently he is a software engineer in the beautiful San Francisco Bay area working for Cisco Systems.
