National PTA
PTA programs are created to organize and support parent involvement in children’s education. Our programs are created with leading expert organizations on topics of importance to our members, at members’ requests. PTA offers a means to develop strong family-school partnerships and involve the community. The process can be tailored to each school. PTA’s process for building successful partnerships and programs consists of three steps:

  • Raising awareness about the power of family and community involvement.
  • Taking action to cultivate involvement through specific programs and practices.
  • Celebrating success as your school sees increased involvement and its impact.

Local PTAs have access to ready-made, easy-to-use programs with proven success records. From health and safety topics, to collaborating with teachers and community members, to fundraising, the programs get results. PTAs focus on what students need to be successful in their learning, including nutrition, health, school safety, physical fitness and general well-being. PTA works with schools to ensure that children succeed.

Laurel Lane PTA programs are created to enrich the school, offer social interaction or to raise funds for a project or activity. The Committees, under the supervision of the Executive Board, organize their specific programs which are held throughout the school year and which are made possible by our members. If you have an idea for a particular program, please contact either the Executive Board or the appropriate Committee Chair to discuss the idea further. There are many ways you can support the LLES PTA Programs--serve on the planning committee, donate goods or services for the event, volunteer to help staff the event and of course support the event by attending.
