NEWPORT, R.I. (April 4, 2012) Associate Professor Brenda Connors, Behavioral Research Fellow demonstrates to NWC’s National Affairs Professor Dr. Mary Raum “Face Reader,” by Noldus Information Technologies, a cutting-edge algorithm-driven research analysis tool designed to decode human facial expression and emotion. Under the auspices of Connors’ interdisciplinary Body Leads leadership project, the two professors were recently trained and certified as the 11th and 12th Movement Pattern Analyst (MPA) practitioners in the world by Motus Humanus, a professional organization for movement specialists. MPA analyzes human decision making style from visible movement patterns. The Body Leads project sponsored by the Office of the Secretary of Defense/Net Assessment today is located at the CNO’s Strategic Studies Group.  Dr. Raum is a valued subject matter expert in qualitative decision making and
organizational behavior. Her current active research program is allied with the
field of movement pattern analysis-a comprehensive system for assessing an
individual's core motivations in decision making processes based on the
disciplined analysis of nonverbal behavior. |
