Car

Car rental is a changing and changeable industry. Instead of giving you advice or links I’d say that care hire is best arranged well in advance of your trip with the carriers at your point of arrival to Ireland. The best starting point is (see the links to the airports above).

Ferry

From the UK, the southwest has two ports of entry: Rosslare (in County Wexford) and Cork City. Stena Sealink sails directly between Rosslare Ferryport and Fishguard, Wales. Pembroke, Wales

France’s Cherbourg and Roscoff can be reached on Irish Ferries. Swansea-Cork Ferries, which can also be accessed from the UK, operates a 10-hour crossing between the two ports on a comfortable, well-equipped boat.

Bus

You can check the national bus company, Bus Éireann, and secondarily check with the Killarney Tourist Office (+353 64 31633).
