I am a Research Officer at the Economic and Social Research Institute, Dublin and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Trinity College Dublin. I hold a PhD in Economics from University of Nottingham.
I am an applied microeconomist and my research interests include:
Housing and Urban Economics
Household Finance, Applied Banking and Financial Stability
International Migration
I have published work on topics including: housing affordability; housing subsidy supports; the determinants of mortgage arrears; homeownership, credit constraints and their long-term consequences; microsimulation; the measurement of trends in the private rental sector (PRS); and the impact of rent controls.
Since 2021 I have been the Editor of the quarterly RTB/ESRI Rent Index reports.
I have previously worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the ESRI, Dublin, a Graduate Teaching Fellow at University of Nottingham and as a Casual Research Assistant at the International Migration Institute, University of Oxford.
