I am currently assistant professor at the Department of Agricultural Economics of Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, Santiago, Chile. I am also science officer for the ecoSERVICES International Project Office at Arizona State University and associated research fellow of the Environment for Development Program for Central America.

My current research interests focus on environmental economics and policy, the use of experimental and quasi-experimental program evaluation methods on conservation interventions, deforestation and land use, issues at the intersection of economic development and environmental protection.
