Commentary:

Like “Over, Over” this track is very much based on the United States of America track Coming Down. Also contains reference to the Beefheart track “Veteran’s Day Poppy” from Trout Mask Replica.

Lyrics are sourced from two poems written during the second world war by the father of long time MES chum Dave Luff. One of the poems deriving from a traditional english folk song
