Commentary:
A track from American country music singer, guitarist and songwriter Merle Haggard’s album “Okie From Muskogee” recorded live in Muskogee, Oklahoma; originally released in 1969.

When played live it was always a respite from the otherwise frenetic garage rock of the group in 2006.

Mark always appeared to enjoy doing the song and this certainly is reflected in the album version. Try to get hold of the Stratford-upon-Avon version from March '06 to hear this at its best.
