I write in my home in Glastonbury. My aim is to write simple books that can be easily read and understood. For me, writing a book is a voyage of discovery, a step towards understanding more about the profound truths of the Vedic teachings and the mysteries of life.

Although many of these truths are self-evident, it was not until I read the Bhagavad Gita and met A C Bhaktivedanta Swami that I began to understand them. In the late 1960s and early 1970s he published his translations and commentaries on the sacred books of the Vaisnava tradition and travelled the world making them widely accessible. He is my inspiration.

Some of my books were collaborations with India's great devotional artist, B G Sharma, who lived in Rajasthan and passed away in November 2007.

Since 2010 all my books are published by Fitzrovia Press.
