Dr. Ramakrishna Mundugar

Working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Data Science and Computer Applications (DSCA), Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, India, from 2009.

Completed B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Puttur, INDIA (recognized by VTU, Belgaum) in 2008. Pursued M.Tech. in Network Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, INDIA, in 2010. Completed PhD in the field of Multimedia Communication under the guidance of Dr Karunakar A. K. at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, on April 2019. Worked as an Early Stage Researcher at Intel Visual Computing Institute, Saarland University, Germany, from Jan. 2018 to Dec. 2018. He also worked as Guest Researcher at Telecommunication Labs, Saarland University, Germany, in 2014. Worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the Visual Computing Group, Department of Computer Science, University of Bath, UK.

The research interests are Image/Video Processing, Virtual Reality, Computer Graphics, Video Adaptation, Network Protocols, Routing Algorithms, and Software Defined Networks.
