I am the Executive Director of the Africa Fellows in Education Program (AFEP), a Global Education Analytics Institute (GEAI) program run in collaboration with the Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP). 

Previously, I was a Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) and Head of Department in the Department of Economics at the National University of Lesotho. I am a Junior Fellow at the Pan-African Scientific Research Council (PASRC). I was a World Bank-AERC Visiting Scholar in 2020 in the Office of the Chief Economist for the Africa Region. From 2016-2017, I was a Visiting Research Fellow at the UNICEF Office of Research under the Transfer Project. I am an applied microeconomist, and my research interests lie at the intersection of Development Economics, Education Economics, and Labour Economics. I hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Cape Town.
