3-String Guitar Chords

Ralph Gonzalez

Easy to play 3-finger guitar chords for beginners and children

Chords marked "e-form" and "a-form" are 3-string versions of E-form and A-form barre chords. (You may wish to interchange the fingering or barre these with your index finger.) Any chord can be played with this pattern. In particular, I haven't included the Bb, C#, Eb, F#, and G# chords, which don't have convenient open forms. Just slide the appropriate e-form or a-form chord up/down a half step.

Thanks to Guitar Nine Records for the Create Your Own Guitar Chord utility.

Fingering: X=unused, O=open, 1=index finger, 2=middle finger, 3=ring finger, 4=little finger
