The Ralph and Eileen Swett Foundation is a small family foundation dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people in need. We are honored and humbled to be able to provide funds to a small portion of the many non-profit organizations that are actually doing this work.

In its mission to make a difference in the lives of people in need, the Swett Foundation is seeking to provide the funding to non-profit organizations that will beĀ pivotal to the organization's ability to expand, create new services or otherwise support people in need.

For those organizations seeking funding, the Swett Foundation recognizes that you have no time to waste submitting applications that have little or no probability of securing funding. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you follow all the steps outlined in the Grant Inquiry pages of this website. By doing so, you can quickly determine if your organization and project might be potential candidates for a grant and thus whether or not it would be worth your time to submit an application. We regret that we are unable to further pre-evaluate grant applications or discuss them ahead of time with you as it is only by seeing the full application information that we will have a basis to determine how well your request matches the mission of the Foundation. If your grant is one of the top applicants best fitting our mission, we will contact you to obtain any further information we require for evaluation. Therefore we are unable to respond to pre-evaluation inquiries.

The Swett Foundation is currently accepting applications for 2017. Grant amounts will be dependent upon the Foundation's financial status but generally do not usually exceed $50,000 unless in case of exceptional qualifications. The Trustees are meeting in late July to discuss administrative matters and, afterwards, will update this web site with the next grant deadline. We suggest submitting a grant application as soon as you know you have need so it will be available for review.

For those organizations who have been contacted by a trustee of the Foundation and have been requested to submit an application, you may still want to read Step 1 to determine if your project has a suitable probability of funding or you may proceed directly to Step 2 to determine the information you will need to gather before submitting your application in Step 3. Step 4 involves the submission of the necessary financial records. We look forward to hearing from you!
