RAiSE has been organized to offer resources and support to parents and other parties interested in Special Education in school District 102. By Special Education we are referring to a broad categorization of students whose educational needs differ from those met by the general education curriculum. Other than this broad definition we are not going to invoke, create or limit ourselves to any specific definition or standard. Among those whom RAiSE supports are those with an Individualized Education Program (IEP), with a Section 504 program or accommodation, in Early Childhood Education programs (ECE), with learning disabilities and with any physical, mental or emotional challenges that affect learning and education.
Note: LaGrange School District 102 in Illinois is comprised of the following schools: Barnsdale Road (Kindergarten campus), Congress Park (K – 6), Cossitt Avenue (K- 6), Forest Road (K – 6), Ogden Avenue (K – 6) and Park Jr. High ( 7 & 8).
