The next meeting of the RAiSE Parent Network (RPN) will be on Tuesday, March 10, at 7:00 PM in the Community Room of the LaGrange Park Library, 555 N. La Grange Road.  The topic of this meeting is the emotional journey of parenting children with special needs or learning disabilities.  As parents raise a child with special needs or learning disabilities, they experience a wide range of emotions, from denial to grief, from depression to anger, from fear to acceptance. Your emotional journey begins with a diagnosis and continues throughout your child’s lifetime. Where are you in your journey? Has your child recently been diagnosed or are you further into the process?

Join us for a chance to network with other parents of children and adolescents who travel this road less traveled. Some of us are new on the path and have many questions, while others are further along the road and have valuable information to share. Together we will explore problems and solutions, and share resources and ideas. This is an opportunity for parents to support other parents in a safe and confidential setting.

The discussion will be moderated by Teresa Fitzgerald, LMFT, a district parent and member of RAiSE.The RPN will meet in the Community Room of the La Grange Park Library (**please note the location change**).  This is a meeting for parents/guardians only.

Note: Meeting cancellations will be announced via email and on our website.
