Summertime is coming. For children and teens with special needs the transition to the unstructured time of summer can be difficult. This month the RAiSE Parent Network (RPN) will meet to discuss how to handle this transition. Join us for this discussion. If you’re feeling stressed out or overwhelmed about the transition to the summer months- how to fill the time, how to find activities that are appropriate for your child - this is your chance to meet other parents who feel the same way. Parents will be able to discuss questions and ideas and share summer planning resources with other parents of children with special needs.
Our meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, 7:00-9:00 PM in Conference Room B of the La Grange Library, 10 W. Cossitt Ave (**please note the location change**). This is a meeting for parents/guardians.
The discussion will be moderated by Teresa Fitzgerald, LMFT, a district parent and member of RAiSE. Attendees are welcome to break into small groups to network. Together we will explore problems and solutions, and share resources and ideas. This is an opportunity for parents to support other parents in a safe and confidential setting.
Note: meeting cancellations will be announced via email and posted on the RAiSE website.
