Our guest speaker for this meeting is JoAnn Paldo of the Illinois Branch of the International Dyslexia Association.

JoAnn Paldo, has been a specialist in multisensory reading instruction since 1996 and tutors students with special needs. Her career first began in the classroom as a Special Education teacher where she applied instructional strategies to students with reading problems. Her teaching career spanned = from primary to secondary school. She has both a B.A. and M.A. in Special Education. JoAnn offers her expertise to school districts, including Chicago Public Schools, on such topics such as inclusion, classroom accommodations, instructional modifications and early prevention of reading problems. She is the immediate past president of the Illinois Branch of The International Dyslexia Association and currently serves on the Board of Directors nominating committee.
