 When: Tuesday, September 14th
 Time:  7pm - 9pm
Where: LRC at Park Jr. High School, La Grange Park, IL

Our guest speaker for this meeting is Lisa Marsicano, M.A.T., an executive function skills specialist.  She will be speaking on the topic of Executive Function Skills.  Deficits in executive function skills are often the underlying cause for many behaviors that interfere with success in school.  Students with these deficits can be perceived as lazy, unmotivated, or disorganized, and may need to be taught things which come naturally to others.  The presentation will cover the following:

 - What are executive function skills?  What do they control?
 - What is the neurological base for deficits in these skills?
 - What can we do, and how can we intervene and accommodate at home and at school?

The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session with Lisa Marsicano.  After the speaker related portion of the meeting, there will be informal networking time.
