Learning to Live More in the Moment

On April 12th, the Resource Association in Special Education (RAiSE) will host Erin Leyba, LCSW, Ph.D., for a presentation about how parents can use mindfulness techniques to live more in the moment despite the unique circumstances of raising a child with special needs or learning differences. Dr. Leyba will also focus on how parents can learn to treat themselves with compassion, to strengthen parent-child relationships, and to notice and leverage their children's strengths. Join us on Tuesday April 12th at 7:00 PM in the Park Jr. High LRC, 333 N. Park Rd., La Grange Park, IL.

Dr. Leyba is an individual and couples counselor in private practice in Oak Brook, Illinois, who specializes in grief/loss, anxiety, parenting, and relationships. She is the author of The Joy Fix for Weary Parents: 5 Steps to Overcoming Fatigue, Guilt, and Stress and Building a Life You Love.
