Executive Functioning:Practical Strategies for Parents & Teachers

 On Tuesday, September 15, 2015, RAiSE is hosting guest Amanda Vogel, M.A.E. Ms. Vogel will give a presentation on Executive Functioning: Practical Strategies for Parents and Teachers.  This meeting will take place at 7:00 PM in the Park Jr. High LRC (333 N Park Rd., La Grange Park IL). During this presentation, Ms. Vogel will discuss practical strategies for parents and teachers to develop and encourage executive functioning skills, which are so critical for the academic success of students. Parents and teachers can do much to help students to develop these skills including setting up an organizational system, building routines, and encouraging independent and effective study habits.

Amanda Vogel holds a Master’s Degree in special education and has over 12 years of experience in teaching, writing curricula, and supporting educators. She is the Vice President of Nurturing Wisdom Tutoring and the Director of Nurturing Wisdom Academy in Hinsdale, Illinois, and has developed extensive curricula in test prep, academics, and executive functioning for tutoring and school programs.

All parents, teachers, and community members are invited to attend.
