Understanding, Accepting and Working with Children with Behavioral Challenges 2/7/12

Elizabeth Hletko, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist, will give a presentation to the group about behavioral challenges in children.  Her presentation will include a discussion about why children act our, what factors contribute to challenging behaviors in children,and how to communicate more effectively with a child with behavioral issues.

Dr. Hletko works at The Institute for Stress Control, a private practice that provides comprehensive psychological services to children, adolescents, adults, and couples. She specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents, and has worked with children for more than 15 years.  She works with patients presenting with a variety of concerns including depression, eating disorders, attention and social difficulties, behavioral problems, medical and neurological problems. Her particular area of focus is with anxiety disorders, including obsessive-compulsive disorders and tic disorders.

Dr. Hletko holds degrees from Miami University of Ohio and Duke University, and she completed her training at Rush University Medical Center
