Building Self-Advocacy Skills in Students with Disabilities

On April 9th, the Resource Association in Special Education in District 102 (RAiSE) will host Jennifer Zvi, Ph.D., for a presentation about building self-advocacy skills in students with disabilities.   Dr. Zvi’s presentation will include a discussion about the attributes necessary for student success and the importance of students' understanding of their own strengths and weaknesses.

Dr. Zvi was a Learning Disability Specialist in the Disabled Students Office at California State University, Northridge for 25 years.  Dr. Zvi has been an adjunct Professor at Northwestern University in the Communication Studies Department and currently is an adjunct Professor at Lewis University teaching Early Childhood Education classes.
