RAiSE is a resource association organized to support the educational success of children with special needs and learning disabilities in LaGrange School District 102. Our Mission is to provide education and support to the community in order to ensure that the achievement of children with physical, mental or emotional challenges reflects their full educational potential. To further our mission, we will sponsor informational programs, offer networking opportunities, and provide online resources related to special education.
Who We Support: Parents and other parties interested in Special Education in District 102. By Special Education we are referring to a broad categorization of students whose educational needs differ from those met by the general education curriculum.
Goals: RAiSE has been formed to provide the district with resources for both networking and education. In addition, we intend to promote an ongoing dialog with the district administration regarding special education.
We believe that each individual child should be given the resources necessary to allow that child to succeed and meet his or her academic potential. Our organization does not support increasing or decreasing funding for particular groups of students.
