PTA Info

Rainbow Elementary PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) is a non-profit organization comprised of dedicated parent volunteers, teachers, and local community members that help Raise Up Rainbow Elementary School! Thanks to our PTA, we have provided iPads for the students, upgrades to the teacher computers, student enrichment activities, up to date training for the teachers, and fun educational activities for our children such as the Steve Trash Program, AR reading program, chess team, and more!

PTA Mission: PTA is a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.

Support the PTA

At Rainbow Elementary School, we pride ourselves for our parent involvement.  This is how we have raised up Rainbow in the community!
1. Join the PTA.  Click the "Join the PTA!" link on the right to get started!  If you are a parent, grandparent, friend, extended family member, neighbor or anyone else in the community, you can join the PTA!  Becoming a member benefits your child and the school by helping us build a partnership between families and the school.  We encourage 100% membership of our teachers and parents in order to give our local PTA a strong vote on state and national issues.  Our PTA welcomes your volunteer involvement in our many programs, but it's entirely optional, and you choose the amount of time you will spend volunteering.  Membership is only $7 per year!

2. Come to the Meetings! PTA meetings are held monthly in the Rainbow Elementary School cafeteria. Come and just listen to what the PTA is working on or if you have something you’d like to discuss. Everyone is welcome! The Calendar of events on the homepage has all of the meeting dates.

3. Attend school functions: It takes a lot of work to put together events for our children and their parents. If you can’t volunteer your time to plan or help out, please show your school support by coming! Please take a moment to learn more about our school Activities.  If you want to volunteer, please click on the "Volunteers" link on the right to get started.

4.  Read the website and sign up for the Parent Express Newsletter. Yes, by reading these, you’re supporting the PTA! To be informed is to be involved-and there may be something you would just love to be a part of!  To sign up for the weekly electronic newsletter, just go to the "Communications" tab of this website and click on the "Parent Express Newsletter" link.

5.  Thank a PTA volunteer: Those folks who are always at school or know your child’s name - - chances are they’re PTA volunteers. When someone packages your wrapped paper order, emails you weekly school updates, serves you pizza or a burger, or takes your money at the school book fair -- show them you appreciate their efforts to make this a better school for our kids! We don’t want volunteering at our school to be a thankless job!

Our children need us, too!
