Mohammad Raihanul ISLAM

My Name is Mohammad Raihanul Islam (Raihan). I work as an Applied Scientist at Amazon.com Inc. My team specializes in constructing and maintaining industrial scale machine learning models to detect online transaction fraud at Amazon. I have completed my undergraduate from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. I have worked as a lecturer in Stamford University, Bangladesh from April 2012 to August 2014. Now I am a graduate research assistant at Department of Computer Science in Virginia Tech, USA pursuing PhD. Research Interest:

My research focuses on mining social network and social media. Due to the massive activity in social media many interesting phenomena occur in social network platforms such as propagation of cascade and rumor. My work centers on analyzing these phenomena and developing efficient machine learning model for future prediction. I am also interested in text mining especially identifying significant societal event from news articles.

My CV is here and my full publication list is here.
