Many of our students are the first members in their family to graduate from a 4 year institution. As such, participating in graduation ceremonies is not only an important milestone for the graduate but for their families. This year our commencement ceremony will be held on May 17th, 2014 (time and place TBA).
What makes Family Graduation attractive to many graduates is the intimacy of the ceremony. Unlike the traditional commencement ceremony where one encounters a limit to how many guest can attend, Raices Unidas allows for an unlimited amount of guest to attend YOUR COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY. In addition the ceremony is bilingual which allows for a more inclusive ambiance.
At the ceremony participants are encouraged to walk across the stage with 2 esteemed guests of their choice, to receive the Family Graduation Certificate. This gesture symbolizes the importance of family involvement within our graduation ceremony.
