Hello

Thanks for checking here.

Rahau recently moved to Sydney, Australia from New Zealand and established Formulation Society to support ambitious businesses to innovate, grow faster and expand into the frontiers market. #R&D #startups #grants #innovation #consultation

In New Zealand, she was part of the Sectors Group at Callaghan Innovation [www.callaghaninnovation.govt.nz] - the innovation agency of New Zealand. Her work contributed directly to the success of Kiwi businesses in AgriTech, Clean Tech and High-Tech Products Sectors with growing R&D programs to drive commercialisation through innovation and collaboration. Her role consisted of key customer management while performing as a grant and relationship manager working with deep-tech businesses in Clean Tech and HighTech Products, AgriTech and Biotech on behalf of the New Zealand government to deliver complex R&D co-funding grants and innovation services in line with the Ministerial directions.

Rahau moved to the USA in 2004 after receiving her BSc in Chemistry and then to New Zealand in 2012, following receiving her PhD in Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara [www.chem.ucsb.edu].

The highlight of her education at UCSB was working with professionals and top talents at the Materials Research Laboratory - MRL - one of the top five materials research facilities in the world. Her research was supervised by Prof. Cyrus Safinya [www.mrl.ucsb.edu/people/cyrus-safinya] and co-supervised by Prof. Kevin Plaxco [www.chem.ucsb.edu/people/kevin-w-plaxco] in the UCSB. Her PhD project was carried out in a multi-disciplinary environment of chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics and physics in gene therapy research. She designed and developed a series of stimuli-responsive lipid-based nano-constructs that spontaneously self-assemble, encapsulate nucleic acids, deliver, and release nucleic acids at low cellular toxicity and high efficiency in vitro. The understanding of the structures of these nano-constructs was assessed at the SSRL, Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource, USA. Her work led to 16+ peer-reviewed journal publications with one selected by the Editor of Langmuir for the cover of July 2012.

She studied Business (Massey University) and started her business working with teams across Australia and New Zealand.
