Cells: Structure and Processes

All living things are composed of one or more cells.  A cell is an organized structure that is capable of independent survival and exact reproduction.  In our class, we will study both animal and plant cells.  These two types of cells are very similar, but also have some significant differences.  We will identify and study the parts of cells.  We will also learn how cells can be organized to form tissues, organs, and organ systems.
