Short Biography

Dr. Radwa El Shawi is an Associate Professor at institute of Computer Science at Tartu University. Radwa El Shawi received her PhD in Information Technology from Sydney University, Australia in 2013. She received her BSc and MSc degree in Computer Engineering from the Computer Engineering department at Arab Academy for Science and Maritime Transport, Egypt, in 2005 and 2008 respectively.

Radwa El Shawi's research focuses on the area of Automated Machine Learning (AutoML), Explainable Artificial, Intelligence, and Big Data analytics. In addition to his contribution to teaching activities, Radwa extensively contributed to research projects; where she was the R&D Lead and Key Researcher in the 'Towards Usable Machine Learning for Efficient Predictive Analytics in the Healthcare Domain' project. Dr. El Shawi has published more than 50 refereed research publications in international journals and conferences. She is an editorial board member of many reputable international journals.
