Good Ol' Guntersville
What is the best lake on the Tennessee River for a group from out of state to fish a tournament?  From our side (GA) Kentucky and Pickwick are a bit too far and the folks from Chickamauga don't appreciate the business.  Between all of these is good ol' Guntersville.  This beast of a lake has taken way more than its fair share of beatings, but still finds a way to produce quality sacks year in and year out.  I don't know how, but the girl is probably still the best overall lake in the Southeast.

While there were no huge tournaments being held on the lake this weekend, several mid-size tournaments provided competition for spots for our 41 teams.  In the end, Ivie/Kunkel came out on top with 20.35.  In second was Hall/McArthur with 18.37.  Third went to Moon/Hise with 16.58.  Placing fourth was Rule/Shirley with 16.33
Next Tournament: Logan Martin June 29.  The lakes that make up the Coosa River chain are some of the best in the South for producing quality bass during our hot summers.  Staying in the lake for those magnum spots or going north for largemouth are both tournament winning strategies.
