Grand Rabbi Mayer A. Horowitz, the Bostoner Rebbe of Yerushalayim, shlit"a, was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1946

In 1963, went to Eretz Yisroel to learn in Ponovitch Yeshiva, Bnei Brak,where he was subsequently ordained and continued his learning in Lakewood Yeshiva, New Jersey from until 1969

In 1969, took a position as Executive Director, of Yeshiva Gedolah Boston. That year
he founded Kehillah Day Camp and acted as Camp Director for the next 3 summers 
In 1970, founded, Yeshiva Machzkei Torah, serving as Dean of the college for the
next nine years. Later that year he assisted his father, The Bostoner Rebbe zt"l,
establish Kollel Boston in Jerusalem, Israel, and is today its spiritual leader.

In 1989, the Rebbe shlit"a made Aliyah to Eretz Yisroel and became very involved in Agudas Yisroel and in building Torah communities for English-speaking olim
