Dot Jots

Dot Jots are a great way to put information into your own words so that you can call it yours.  If you don't put it into your own words but then you put your name on it, you're really stealing other people's work!

  1. Start by locating the information you are looking for.
  2. Read with understanding... then
  3. Write one, two or three key words about what you have just read.
  4. Repeat this for each piece of important information you want to use
When you are ready, you put those words into new sentences of your own.  You will be able to use the words just to help you remember the information you thought was important.  When you put it in your own words, it becomes YOUR work and you can proudly put your name on it.

Thanks Mr Pouniu, for the Dot Jot name!
