Open Education Practice and Resources with Dr. Rajiv Jhangiani

QULOC invites you to join a workshop with Dr. Rajiv Jhangiani on open education practice and open education resources.


Dr Rajiv Jhangiani, is the Special Advisor to the Provost on Open Education and a Psychology Instructor at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in British Columbia, where he conducts research on open education and the scholarship of teaching and learning.  Rajiv has edited an open licensed book Open: The Philosophy and Practices that are Revolutionizing Education and Science, (co-) authored recent articles on textbook costs and provision, and collaborated with other open education thought leaders including David Wiley, Cable Green- Creative Commons and Nicole Allen- SPARC.


The workshop will focus on ways in which librarians can support open educational practices (including open pedagogy), strategies for raising OE awareness with academics and processes including locating relevant and high quality Open Education Resources.
